Virtually all commercially available mattresses are soaked in a pound or more of fire retardant chemicals. These mattresses also outgas formaldehyde as they age, which is a known carcinogen. Fire redardants, made of chemicals called PDBEs, build up in our bodies like the banned PCBs and have been associated with neurological damage and cancer. PDBE fire retardants have already been banned in Europe, but unfortunately not in North America. Organic mattresses are the only way to protect yourself from 8 hours of exposure to these dangerous chemicals every night.

The Natural Aurora was designed to compete with the expensive Swedish-made mattresses. The major difference is that the Aurora is made in the U.S. with natural materials and at a lesser price point.

It uses an organic cotton-covered pocketed-coil innerspring system that allows independent motion of each coil. The result is less transfer of motion - in other words, each coil works independently, allowing them to conform to different body shapes. If you have a partner that tosses and turns - this is an excellent choice. The Natural Aurora mattress has the least amount of transfer of motion for an innerspring mattress. Each side of the innerspring is covered with 2 inches of 100% natural latex. The entire mattress is covered with 100% organic cotton and Pure Grow Wool and is quilted to an organic cotton cover.

The Latex Mattress has a 6-inch 100% natural latex corewrapped with a durable organic cotton ticking cover. Our natural latex mattresses are just as good as the popular petroleum-based memory foam mattresses, with a couple of very important advantages: 1) Our latex mattresses are not soaked in a pound or more of cancer causing PDBE fire retardants, and 2) they don't outgas dangerous formaldehyde on your body for 8 hours every night. When you think about this, only a 100% natural latex makes sense.
Latex mattresses relieve pressure points and promote proper alignment of the spine, making for a more restful sleep. They are also hypoallergenic and they naturally repel dust mites, and resist mold and mildew, which is a plus for people with allergies.

Filled with organic wool, These wool pillows are springy and supportive, and many people think that they are better than down pillows in terms of their comfort level. The key is the way wool wicks away moisture better than down. Down can get humid and clammy, wool does not. We have both Pure Grow wool pillows and organic cotton filled pillows.
