PULITZER PRIZE - WINNING BIOGRAPHER A. SCOTT BERG
TO SPEAK AT THE LOS ANGELES FILM SCHOOL THEATER NOVEMBER 9TH

Hollywood, - The Los Angeles Film School announced today that Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer A. Scott Berg will launch its Vanguard Speaker Series on Tuesday November 9th. Berg will speak about "The Goldwyn Age of Hollywood" in The Los Angeles Film School's brand new stadium seating-style theater.
The Vanguard Speaker Series at The Los Angeles Film School will include distinguished members of the Hollywood community. Each event and speaker in the Vanguard Series will speak on a subject pertinent to the entertainment industry and will be on a monthly basis.

As the inaugural speaker in the Vanguard Series, Berg's lecture - illustrated with vintage film clips - will not only chronicle the life and career of the pioneer film producer Samuel Goldwyn but will also survey the changing trends in Hollywood over the decades.

Scott Berg received the Pulitzer Prize in 1999 for his biography "Lindbergh," which explored the life of the legendary Charles Lindbergh. Before "Lindbergh," Berg wrote "Max Perkins: Editor of Genius," a national bestseller and winner of the National Book Award. Upon its publication, Berg was approached by Samuel Goldwyn Jr. and asked to write the biography of his father, granting him complete access to the Goldwyn archives.

The attendees of the event will include students and faculty of the film school as well as invited guests from the City of Los Angeles and members of the Hollywood Community.
The Los Angeles Film School is a one-year intensive professional training program in motion pictures, television and new media. The program specializes in Directing, Producing, Cinematography, Editing, Re-Recording and Mixing and Production Design.
